A dynamic mix of old and new, Tremough Campus represents the best of both worlds. Modern facilities and cutting-edge technology in a warm and historic setting. Tremough is a superbly equipped, self-contained location, designed to provide the very highest standards of learning and research, yet it’s also the perfect base for exploring Cornwall’s stunning coastline and dramatic landscapes. It is the perfect environment for both study and soul.
Tremough Campus, situated in Penryn, near the historic maritime town of Falmouth, is one of University College Falmouth’s two campuses and home to the University of Exeter’s Cornwall campus, along with the internationally renowned Camborne School of Mines. The 70-acre site, which includes the beautiful Tremough House and gardens, built in the 1700s, has spectacular views over Falmouth, the sea and the surrounding countryside.
The facilities at Tremough include state-of-the-art design and textile workshops, science laboratories, broadcasting studios, dedicated IT facilities – including fast wireless internet networks – libraries, lecture theatres and seminar rooms. Tremough Campus is also home to Glasney Parc, modern and secure student accommodation with a total of 1,200 en-suite study bedrooms in flats with shared kitchen and dining areas.
The campus is managed by Tremough Campus Services (TCS), which runs all the on-campus facilities including catering – with a restaurant and two bars – a venue for live events, cinemas, retail outlets, reprographics and a fully-equipped sports centre. It also deals with commercial conferences and events bookings.
But Tremough Campus isn’t just about buildings and facilities, it’s also about people. Used to working with a lively and demanding student body, Tremough Campus staff are experienced, capable and friendly. They have accommodated everyone from high profile international conferences to royal dignitaries, and are always committed to making every visitor feel at home.
Tremough Campus also prides itself on providing access for all and welcomes wheelchair users and those with other disabilities.
